Munger News: Some bike-borne miscreants opened fire at RJD state secretary Pankaj Yadav on Thursday morning following which he was admitted to Sadar Hospital for treatment. He was later shifted to another hospital. His condition is said to be out of danger, Jagran.com reported. 

The incident occurred when Yadav was out for a morning walk at Airport Ground in Safia Sarai police station area of Munger. After committing the crime, the miscreants fled the spot. After receiving information about the incident, the police of Safia Sarai, Qasim Bazaar and Kotwali reached the spot. Police officials are investigating the matter.

In a similar incident that took place earlier this month, a BJP leader identified as Munna Sharma, was shot dead by two assailants on a motorcycle in Patna. The incident took place as Sharma was out for his morning walk, during which he was targeted for his gold chain.

According to police, the attackers tried to snatch the chain, but Sharma resisted. The attackers fled the scene immediately after the incident, which occurred in front of the New Road restaurant under the jurisdiction of the Patna City Chowk police station.

In another incident that took place in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal, a 14-year-old girl was shot dead in a village by a man accused of raping her in February. The Sambhal police stated the 20-year-old accused was accompanied by his maternal uncle and caught the victim when she was on her way to her village with her mother and brother at about 10.30 PM on September 18.

According to police, the accused shot her twice at point-blank range, killing her on the spot. Her brother and mother were unharmed.
