Bihar Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain in 20 districts on October 1 and 2. Temperatures are expected to rise by 2 to 3 Degree Celsius until October 1, while from October 2 to 6, several districts are likely to experience heavy rainfall accompanied by the possibility of lightning.
“Rain is more likely in districts of northern and eastern Bihar, such as Kishanganj, Purnia, Araria, Katihar, and Supaul,” weather experts said. In southern Bihar and the Magadh region, including Gaya, Aurangabad, and Nawada, light to moderate rainfall is expected.
Bihar Districts With Heavy Rain Alert
A heavy rain alert has been issued for Kishanganj, Araria, Purnia, Katihar, Bhagalpur, and Banka on October 1 and 2, with light to moderate rain expected in the remaining districts. On October 3, very heavy rainfall warnings are in place for Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Purnia, and Katihar, while West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Saharsa, Madhepura, Khagaria, Banka, and Bhagalpur will experience heavy rain, and the rest of the districts will receive moderate rainfall.
On October 4, heavy rain is expected in West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Madhubani, and Supaul, with Gopalganj, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Saharsa, Madhepura, Purnia, Katihar, Supaul, Araria, and Kishanganj also receiving heavy rainfall.

On September 30, the minimum temperature will be 29.0 Degree Celsius and the maximum temperature 35.0 Degree Celsius, with a forecast of partly cloudy skies and a possibility of rain, thunderstorm, or duststorm.
On October 1, the minimum temperature will be 28.0 Degree Celsius and the maximum temperature 35.0 Degree Celsius, with a forecast of partly cloudy skies and one or two spells of rain or thundershowers.
On October 2, the minimum temperature will be 27.0 Degree Celsius and the maximum temperature 33.0 Degree Celsius, with no significant weather warnings.
On October 3, the minimum temperature will be 27.0 Degree Celsius and the maximum temperature 33.0 Degree Celsius, with a forecast of partly cloudy skies and one or two spells of rain or thundershowers, and warnings of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning.
On October 4, the minimum temperature will be 25.0 Degree Celsius and the maximum temperature 32.0 Degree Celsius, with a forecast of thunderstorms with rain and warnings of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning.
On October 5, the minimum temperature will be 25.0 Degree Celsius and the maximum temperature 32.0 Degree Celsius, with a forecast of thunderstorms with rain and warnings of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning.
Sporadic rainfall was recorded over the past 24 hours in Supaul, Gayaji, Gopalganj, and Saharsa, with Gurua in Gayaji receiving 8.2 mm of rain. Despite the rainfall, maximum temperatures increased across all districts, including Patna, where the temperature reached 35.8 Degree Celsius, while Begusarai recorded the highest maximum of 36.8 Degree Celsius.
