Last month in another incident, a 19-year-old woman was allegedly raped by two men near the KR Puram railway station in Bengaluru. The incident took place around 1:30 am while the victim was on her way back home to Bihar from Kerala.

According to PTI, the young woman had been working in Kattappana, Kerala, but was dissatisfied with her job and decided to return home. She initially bought a ticket to Mangaluru but instead used it to travel to Bengaluru.

Before reaching KR Puram railway station, she contacted her cousin. She was walking towards Mahadevapura with her cousin to find food when the attack occurred. As they walked, two unidentified men approached them. One of the attackers assaulted her cousin and restrained him, while the other dragged the woman to an isolated spot and sexually assaulted her.
