A 37-year-old woman was shot by bike-borne assailants on Chandwara Ali Mirza Road in the Nagar police station area of Muzaffarpur on Tuesday. The crime was captured on CCTV footage, which clearly shows two helmet-wearing miscreants carrying out the attack. After dismounting from their bike, one of the miscreants shot Sajida from behind, hitting her in the head following which she died on the spot.
The CCTV video reveals that the criminals swiftly shot Sajida and fled from the scene, brandishing their weapons. The sound of the gunshot prompted nearby people to rush to the spot, creating a commotion in the area. Family members and local residents immediately informed the police after which City SP Arvind Pratap Singh and his team arrived at the scene to investigate. The police are currently analysing the CCTV footage to identify the criminals responsible for this crime.

The 37-year-old woman lived with her mother-in-law and brother-in-law in a rented house on Chandwara Ali Mirza Road. The woman was suffering from a nerve disease, which required daily visits to a physiotherapist. Having returned to Muzaffarpur from Dubai in February, she had no known enmity with anyone. Her husband, Mohammad Suhain, is a businessman based in Abu Dhabi.
The motive for this murder remains undisclosed, initial investigations suggest that it may be a case of contract killing. Police have taken Sajida’s body into custody for a post-mortem examination. Authorities are actively working to apprehend those responsible for this incident.
