Tejashwi Yadav Escapes Drone: Tejashwi Yadav, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and chief minister face in the Mahagathbandhan in upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, narrowly escaped an injury as a drone crashes into the podium when he was addressing a ‘Waqf Bachao, Samvidhan Bachao Sammelan’ at Gandhi Maidan, Patna on Sunday.

What Exactly Happened In Gandhi Maidan

RJD leader, who is also a former cricketer, showcased his quick reflexes when he ducked to avoid being hit by the drone which crashed into his podium in the Gandhi Maidan.

What Has Police Said On Drone Crash Incident?

The drone crash incident raised security concern of the Leader of Oppositon (LoP) in the Bihra Assembly. The Patna Police said they have launched a comprehensive probe into the matter as it was a restricted (no-fly-zone) area. The cops said they are probing how the drone appeared near the podium.

Patna SP (Central), Diksha said, "We are looking into the incident. It was a restricted area and such an object should not have landed there. The police team was busy managing the crowd when the rally was underway. But the matter will be definitely investigated thoroughly."

This can be another political flashpoint if any lapse at the police end emerges as the state's law and order is already under criticism due to a sudden rise in crime in the election-bound state. Yadav and other Opposition leaders have been targeting the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government over the deteriorating law and order situation in Bihar.
