September Bank Holidays: Banks across India will witness a total of 15 holidays in September 2024. The closure schedule includes Sundays, the second and fourth Saturdays and additional days for regional festivals. Customers are advised to check local listings for specific closures as regional observances may affect the availability of banking services.

September Bank Holidays List 

- September 1 (Sunday): All banks will remain closed.

- September 4 (Wednesday): Banks in Assam will be closed for Tirubhav Tithi of Srimanta Sankardeva.

- September 7 (Saturday): Banks in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Goa will be closed for Ganesh Chaturthi, Samvatsari and other regional observances.

- September 8 (Sunday): All banks will remain closed.

- September 14 (Saturday): Banks across the country will be closed for the second Saturday, as well as Karma Puja and First Onam in Kerala and Jharkhand.

- September 15 (Sunday): All banks will remain closed.

- September 16 (Monday): Banks in several states including Gujarat, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Manipur, Jammu, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand will be closed for Milad-un-Nabi or Id-e-Milad.

- September 17 (Tuesday): Banks in Sikkim and Chhattisgarh will be closed for Indrajatra and Id-e-Milad.

- September 18 (Wednesday): Banks in Assam will be closed for Pang-Lhabsol.

- September 20 (Friday): Banks in Jammu and Srinagar will be closed for the Friday following Eid-i-Milad-ul-Nabi.

- September 21 (Saturday): Banks in Kerala will be closed for Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi Day.

- September 22 (Sunday): All banks are closed.

- September 23 (Monday): Banks in Jammu and Srinagar will be closed for the Birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh.

- September 28 (Saturday): All banks will remain closed for the fourth Saturday.

- September 29 (Sunday): All banks will remain closed.

Notably, online and digital banking services will remain fully operational, allowing customers to manage their transactions via mobile banking apps and online platforms.
