Infosys Dividend:  Ekagrah Rohan Murthy, the five-month-old grandson of Infosys founder NR Narayana Murthy, is set to receive Rs 4.2 crore. The IT company announced a final dividend and a special dividend on April 18. Narayan Murthy, last month i.e. March 2024, had gifted shares worth over Rs 240 crore to Ekagrah. Following this, Ekagra received 15 lakh shares or a 0.04% stake in India's second-largest IT company. Considering the dividend amount of Rs 28, Ekagra will earn Rs 4.2 crore.

Simultaneously with the announcement of the Q4FY24 results, The Infosys Board has announced a final dividend of Rs 20 per equity share and an additional special dividend of Rs 8 per equity share for FY 24 ending on March 31. The record date for payment of final dividend and special dividend is May 31, 2024 and the dividend is scheduled to be paid on July 1, 2024.

However, Narayan Murthy's grandson's total value of Infosys shares has declined by Rs 30 crore as each share plunged by about Rs 200 since it was gifted. Today, i.e. on April 19, at 02:27 pm, Infosys shares were trading 1.2% lower at Rs 1,417.80.

After gifting the grandson, Murthy's stake in Infosys came down from 0.40% to 0.36% or more than 1.51 crore shares. Ekagraha is Rohan Murthy and his wife Aparna's son who was born in November 2023. The new member of the family was named Ekagra. Let us tell you that Narayan Murthy's daughter Akshata Murthy and Rishi Sunak (son-in-law) have 2 children. Recently Narayana Murthy's wife Sudha Murthy was nominated as a member of Rajya Sabha. He took oath for the Upper House on March 14.
