Asia Cup 2025: India's T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav is inching closer towards scripting history in the shortest format. He might level Rohit Sharma's huge record of smashing sixes. The Asia Cup 2025 is all set to begin from September 9 in the UAE. The Men in Blue will lock horns with the host during their tournament opener.

Suryakumar Yadav has scored 2598 runs after playing in 83 T20Is at a strike rate of 167.07, and that also includes four hundreds and 21 fifties. He has till now smashed 237 fours and 146 sixes in this format. He is on the verge of creating a huge sixes record after he smashes four sixes in the upcoming continental tournament. He would become just the second Indian batter to have smashed 150 sixes in the shortest format. Before him, Rohit Sharma had hit 150 sixes in this format. Suryakumar Yadav will level Rohit Sharma's record after he hit four sixes.

Who has the most sixes in T20 International cricket?

Rohit Sharma currently has the record of smashing the most sixes in this format. He announced his retirement from T20Is last year. Besides him, none of the other batters in the cricketing world has smashed 200 or more sixes in this format. Apart from Rohit Sharma, Martin Guptill has smashed 173 sixes in this format.
