DPL 2025: Tensions ran high during the Delhi Premier League 2025 Eliminator match between South Delhi Superstarz and West Delhi Lions at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi as Nitish Rana and Digvesh Rathi were engaged in a heated face-off.

Skipper Rana's century powered West Delhi Lions into Qualifier 2 as they outplayed South Delhi Superstarz by seven wickets.

Chasing a stiff 202-run target, the Lions were in early trouble after losing two wickets inside the powerplay. Rana took up his leader role seriously as he led from the front with a 55-ball 134 studded with eight fours and 15 sixes.

Rana's powerful batting show saw him dominate Rathi, hitting the bowler for a boundary and three successive sixes in his first over. A viral video of a confrontation between the two players has been circulating on the internet.

In the video, West Delhi Lions skipper Rana was seen exchanging words with Rathi and later mimicking his signature celebration after hitting Rathi for a maximum.

The conflict reached a boiling point when Rathi shot back with some choice words, leading to a tense situation that was defused by the intervention of other players and the umpires.

Another ugly scene broke out in the match as the brawl-like situation unfolded on the pitch after a confrontation between West Delhi batter Krish Yadav and some players of South Delhi.

The tension stretched in the 11th over of the match when Aman Bharti exchanged words and gave a stern glare to Krish after dismissing him. Seeing this, Krish strolled towards Aman and traded heated words, and the trouble reached a boiling point when South Delhi player Sumit Mathur entered the drama, creating a brawl-like situation.

However, the situation was quickly settled with the intervention of Nitish Rana and the lady umpire.

During the chase, Krish flexed his batting prowess, slamming a 31-run knock off 22 deliveries before falling to Aman Bharti's bowling.
