IND vs WI: KL Rahul produced a sensational innings in the third ODI against West Indies at the PCA International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh, completing 10,000 international runs before going on to score a brilliant century. The wicketkeeper-batter remained unbeaten on 129 as India recovered from an early collapse to post a formidable 351/7 in 50 overs.

Rahul's landmark came during a memorable knock in which he combined composure with controlled aggression.

He brought up his ninth ODI century off just 80 balls, hitting nine fours and three sixes. He then remained unbeaten to ensure India finished strongly after losing two early wickets.

Rahul Enters Elite 10,000-Run Club

Rahul entered the elite 10,000 international-run club during his innings, reaching the milestone with a six off Matthew Forde in the 34th over. He had entered the West Indies series needing 35 runs to reach the landmark, having accumulated 9,965 international runs before the tour.

The milestone came in Rahul's first opportunity to bat in the three-match ODI series. After missing out in India's first two successful run chases, he made his chance count when the team needed him most.

Early Blow Puts India Under Pressure

India's innings did not begin smoothly. Shubman Gill was dismissed for just one before Virat Kohli followed him back to the pavilion for a golden duck, with Jayden Seales striking twice in quick succession.

Rohit Sharma and Ruturaj Gaikwad then steadied the innings with a crucial partnership. Rohit played another important knock, scoring 92 off 85 balls, while Gaikwad contributed 57. Their efforts provided the platform for Rahul to take control later in the innings.

Rahul Takes India Past 350

Rahul's innings grew increasingly fluent as India approached the final overs. His century arrived in just 80 deliveries, and he continued attacking after reaching three figures.

He eventually finished unbeaten on 129, helping India post 351/7 and set West Indies a target of 352.

For West Indies, Seales was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets, but Rahul's composure under pressure ensured India recovered from the early setbacks and finished with a commanding total.

India had already sealed the three-match ODI series after winning the opening two games by eight wickets each.
