IND vs NED T20 World Cup 2026: The Indian team had qualified for the Super 8 of the ongoing mega event after beating arch-rivals Pakistan by 61 runs in Colombo. By having an NRR of 0.350, the Men in Blue will finish as the table toppers of group A, and this will give them some chance to experiment with some players during their last group stage clash against the Netherlands in Ahmedabad on Wednesday.

One change that the host might make in their playing XI is to bring back Arshdeep Singh. He played against teams like the USA and Namibia, but was dropped from the Pakistan match and was replaced by Kuldeep Yadav. Kuldeep had performed well against the Salman Ali Agha-led side as he had dismissed Mohammad Nawaz and had registered match-winning figures of 3-0-14-1.

But Arshdeep, who is India's highest wicket-taker in the shortest format, has proved his worth over the last three years, and his experience will play a huge role during the Super 8 stages, where the team will be under immense pressure.

The host might also include Washington Sundar in the playing XI as he is the only player as he is the only player who hasn't played a single match till now, as he recently recovered from a side strain, which he had suffered in the ODI series against New Zealand, and gave the five-match T20I series a miss ahead of the mega event.

WILL INDIA EXPERIMENT?

Sitanshu Kotak, who is India's batting coach, has revealed that they might not experiment for the match against the Netherlands. He emphasised that instead of experimenting, the host will try to maintain their winning streak.

“I don’t think there’ll be any experiments. However, looking at the wicket and conditions, there might be some adjustments. We don’t view any game as less important, because every match matters and the team wants to maintain momentum,” Kotak told reporters during the pre-match press conference.

“Whether it’s a high-pressure or lower-pressure game, our approach remains the same. We played the last game with full intent, and we will approach the next game in the same way,” he said.

At the same time, the Netherlands also has a mathematical chance of qualifying for the next round, but their NRR of -1.352 isn't convincing. If Pakistan beats Namibia, then the Netherlands will be knocked out. And if they fail to qualify, then they might include Saqib Zulfiqar and Noah Croes in their playing XI as they are the only players who haven't featured in a single match yet.
