India vs West Indies: India produced a dominating performance to complete a comfortable 2-0 whitewash against the West Indies in the two-match Test series. India defeated the West Indies by 7 wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Many positives emerged for the Indian team as Shubman Gill won his first Test series as the captain of the side. While KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal and skipper Gill had impressive outings with the bat, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav produced commendable efforts with the ball. On the other hand, Mohammed Siraj continued his outstanding form in Tests and was adjudged as the 'Impact Player of the Series'.

"To be honest, this series was very good because we played in Ahmedabad, which offered a lot of help for the fast bowlers. But then we came to New Delhi, and we had to bowl a lot of overs here. Every wicket felt like 5 wickets. As a fast bowler, when you get a reward for your efforts, you feel the confidence and a happy feeling is there. And then you're also the impact player of the racing room, so it felt very good," said Siraj to bcci.tv.

Siraj got his 'impact player' medal from N Jagadeesan, India's new addition to the Test setup. The star pacer said that he aims to continue performing at the same level in the future, emphasising that Test cricket remains his favourite format.

"When you achieve something, you feel very good about yourself. I feel very proud of myself. I will continue my performance like this, because my favourite format is Test Cricket. There are many challenges. You have to stay on the ground the whole day, physically and mentally. I feel very proud to be able to contribute," he added.

Siraj will soon be in action as he is a part of India's ODI squad for the upcoming Australia tour. The Indian team departed on Wednesday morning and will face Australia in a three-match ODI series, starting October 19, and it will be followed by five T20I matches.
