India skipper Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and other sportsperson paid their tribute to the late great Ratan Tata, who passed away on October 9, Wednesday. Ratan Naval Tata, who was a legendary figure in Indian industry and the chairman of Tata Group, passed away at the age of 86 on October 9. He had undergone treatment for a long-time illness at the Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai, just days before his demise.
He had transformed the entire Tata group and turned it into a global powerhouse with the help of high-profile acquisitions. After his demise, lots of personalities from politics and the entertainment industry paid their tributes. The sporting world has followed the same with Rohit Sharma leading the tributes. He took to his official X account shared an emotional note and described the business tycoon as a man with a heart of gold.
Rohit reckoned that Mr. Tata was someone who would care deeply for other people.

"A man with a heart of gold. Sir, you will forever be remembered as someone who truly cared and lived his life to make everyone else’s better," Rohit had written on his official X account.
India's T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav revealed that his demise marked the end of an era and said that he was an inspiration to many.
"End of an era. The epitome of kindness, the most inspirational, marvel of a man. Sir, you have touched so many hearts. Your life has been a blessing to the nation. Thank you for your endless and unconditional service. Your legacy will live on. Rest in glory, sir," Suryakumar Yadav wrote on his official X account.
The Maharashtra government would be giving a state funeral to Mr. Ratan Tata.
