Prithvi Shaw vs Sapna Gill Row: Out-of-favour India batter Prithvi Shaw has been subjected to Rs 100 fine after the Mumbai lad failed to respond to social media influencer Sapna Gill. Shaw was forced to submit a response to Gill's criminal revision petition against an earlier magistrate's order in the Dindoshi sessions court in April 2024. As per a report by TimesNow, the court has provided Shaw with another chance to submit a response for a nominal fee of Rs 100.

Gill's lawyer also accused the Cricketer of avoiding the judicial process.

“This has been his regular way of handling the case despite being summoned many times," Khan said.

The incident came to everyone's attention after Gill filed a case against Prithvi Shaw following a public altercation back in 2023 in Mumbai. Gill, in her report, claimed that Shaw refused to click selfies with her and went on to physically assault and even molest her.

Gill tried to approach the police; however, no action was taken.

Additionally, the magistrate court ordered the SantaCruz police station to investigate the matter and submit a report.

According to police accounts, Shaw was allegedly manhandled and his car was attacked with a baseball bat outside a hotel in the Santacruz area of Mumbai, following an argument with the influencer and her friend Shobit Thakur after the cricketer refused to click more selfies with them.

Gill is a social media influencer with over 2 lakh followers on Instagram and also has an online presence on applications like Josh, a video-sharing app, Snapchat and Youtube. She hails from Chandigarh and resides in Mumbai.
