On Tuesday afternoon, a fire broke out in a two-storey building near Gate No. 31 of Rashtrapati Bhavan. The Fire Department was informed about the incident at 1:51 pm, and five fire engines were immediately dispatched to the scene.

According to a fire official, the blaze started among household goods on the ground floor of the building. Thanks to the swift action of the firefighters, the situation was brought under control quickly. The fire was completely extinguished in just 20 minutes, preventing major damage to the building.

There have been no reports of any casualties in the incident.

In the initial investigation, the cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Officials have launched an investigation into the matter to find the cause and prevent similar incidents in the future. Notably, this fire occurring near a highly sensitive area like Rashtrapati Bhavan has raised questions about security arrangements.
