Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Delhi University, has announced a complete ban on the entry of former students on campus till 18 September, in view of the ongoing Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) election.

According to the college administration, ex-students will not be allowed entry during this period unless they obtain prior permission via email, and even then, access will be granted only for essential work. An official notice to this effect has been published on the college website and social media handles.

The move comes as student leaders across DU have begun campaigning for various posts. The college said the restriction is a precautionary step to prevent irregularities, maintain discipline, and ensure smooth conduct of the election.

“Every precaution is being taken in the college regarding the DUSU election. Students are being informed of all guidelines, and awareness campaigns are being continuously organised,” said Principal Prof Arun Kumar Attri. He reiterated that former students without prior approval will not be allowed entry under any circumstances.
