Preparations to celebrate Republic Day are in full swing across the country, and strict security arrangements have been made. Special preparations have been undertaken in Delhi. Rehearsals for the traditional parade floats are being conducted, with the aim of showcasing the nation's valour and prosperity.
This auspicious occasion also provides a great opportunity for the general public to visit the Delhi Legislative Assembly. People can take their children on a tour of the Delhi Assembly to explore the 115-year-old building and see the key heritage sites located within the premises.
Visiting Hours And Schedule
The Delhi Legislative Assembly complex will be open to the public on the evenings of January 25 and 26, 2026.
Timings: 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Dates: Sunday, January 25 and Monday, January 26
Illumination: The Assembly building will be illuminated in the colours of the tricolour in the evenings.

Cultural Programs And Patriotic Performances
As part of the Republic Day celebrations, the following activities are scheduled:
Band Performance: A renowned band will perform patriotic songs on both days.
Cultural Shows: Vibrant cultural programmes will be presented by the Sahitya Kala Akademi.
Speaker’s Invitation: The Assembly Speaker has invited Delhi residents to visit the Assembly and celebrate Republic Day in the "true spirit of patriotism."

For the convenience of visitors, the entry process has been kept simple:
No Registration Required: No prior registration will be needed for the visit.
Entry Requirements: Visitors will be able to enter after a security check upon showing a valid identity card.
Entry Time: Doors open starting from 5:00 pm on both days.
