CBSE: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has filed police reports against two Delhi schools for allegedly presenting fake/forged land documents to the Board in order to obtain affiliation.

The schools in dispute include Manava Bhawna Public School on Nathupura Main Road in Burari, Delhi, and Sat Saheb Public School at 101, C-Block, Som Bazar, Nanhey Park, Uttam Nagar.

In the announcement, the CBSE further stated that it links schools in various categories to conduct public examinations for students sponsored by these affiliated schools.

The CBSE said in the press statement, “it was found that the land certificates have not been issued by the concerned authorities and the schools have submitted fake/forged land certificates with the Board.”

“While considering the applications, the Board conducts a very strict scrutiny of the essential documents submitted by the schools and in order to establish the genuineness, the documents are also verified from the issuing authority,” the statement further reads.

The CBSE grants affiliation based on the fulfilment of mandatory and other affiliation conditions outlined in the Board's Affiliation Bye-Laws of 2018.

According to the statement, a police complaint against these two schools was submitted to Preet Vihar Police Station.

The Board's latest step comes just a few days after it issued show cause notices to 34 schools for failing to follow the provisions and guidelines established by the Board.

A show cause notice was also served against the schools for failing to follow the terms and conditions outlined in the Affiliation Bye-Laws 2018.

The Board also advised schools that are unintentionally participating in sports events organised by the 'CBSE Board School Games Welfare Society' (CBSE-WSO), which is not affiliated with the CBSE.
