CLAT 2026 Answer Key:  The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) concluded the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 exam on December 7, 2025. Following the successful conduct of the exam, the provisional answer key will be released today, i.e., on December 10. The answer key will be released today at 5 PM. The objection submission portal will close automatically at 5 PM on December 12. A fee of Rs 1,000 will be paid for each objection.

CLAT 2026: Over 92k Applicants, UG Dominates Registrations

This year, a total of 92,344 candidates applied for the exam, a 17 per cent increase from last year. Of these, 75,009 candidates registered for undergraduate (UG) programs, while 17,335 applied for postgraduate (PG) programs.

548 candidates under the PwD category also participated in CLAT 2026. The overall male-female ratio is approximately 0.72:1.

Record-Breaking Turnout for NLU Entrance Exam:

The exam saw a high turnout of 96.83 per cent undergraduate applicants and 92.45 per cent postgraduate applicants, a testament to the growing desire among students to get admission into India's premier National Law Universities (NLUs).

CLAT 2026 Provisional Answer Keys: Steps To Download

Step 1. Log in to your CLAT account at consortiumofnlus.ac.in, then click ‘Submit Objections’.

Step 2 . Click on the ‘Submit Objection’ button.

Step 3. Select the Question Booklet set, ‘Type of Objection’, i.e., ‘About the Answer Key’ or ‘About the Question’, as appropriate

Step4. Select the question number, enter your objection details and click on ‘Submit Objection.’

Step 5. Once all your objections are submitted, click the ‘Make Payment’ button to make a payment.

CLAT 2026 Exam: A National-Level Gateway to Premier Law Universities

CLAT is conducted as a national-level entrance exam to select candidates for admission to undergraduate (BA LL.B) and postgraduate (LL.M) law programs offered by the 22 National Law Universities (NLUs) and several other participating institutions. It ensures a standardised, merit-based, and transparent selection process for law aspirants across the country.
