AFCAT 2 Result 2025 Live: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has officially declared Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2 result. Along with the result, the cut off marks was also released. Candidates who appeared for the written examination held on August 23, 24, and 25 can now check their results at the official portal:afcat.cdac.in.

The cut off for AFCAT 2 is 140. Candidates qualifying the exam have been called for the AFSB interview. The final merit list of AFCAT 2025 is prepared based on the online test and AFSB interview.

AFCAT 2 Result 2025: Steps To Check

Candidates can download their results and scorecards by following these steps:

Step 1: Visit afcat.cdac.in and click on the Login button.


Step 2: Enter your registered email ID and password.


Step 3: Complete the captcha verification.


Step 4: View and download the result for future reference.

The AFCAT apply online link was activated on June 1, 2025, along with the AFCAT 2 official notification PDF. The direct AFCAT 2 registration link was provided on this page. Candidates aged between 20 and 24 years and completed Graduation could apply for AFCAT 2025.

AFCAT Selection Process 2025: Overview

After the below four stages, the overall performance of the candidates is assessed for a final selection. For detailed information, candidates should check the official AFCAT notification.

Stage Perticulars
Stage 1: AFCAT Written Exam Qualify for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) written exam, which includes various subjects.
Stage 2: AFSB Testing Successful candidates from the written exam undergo testing at the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB).
Document Verification Verify essential documents such as educational certificates, NCC certificate, and employment NOC.
Conference A final conference is conducted by assessors (Psychologist, Ground Testing Officer, Interviewing Officer) to determine the candidate's overall performance. Qualified candidates complete necessary documents provided by the Board.
Medical Examination Undergo a thorough medical examination to assess fitness and suitability for a career in the Air Force.
Merit List A Merit List is prepared based on the candidate's performance in all stages of the selection process. Candidates are ranked, and those with the highest scores are considered for final selection.

AFCAT 2 Exam Stage 2: What Is Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) Interview?

If you have successfully cleared written exam, you will receive a Call letter to report to any one of the Air Force Selection Boards located at Dehradun, Varanasi, Gandhinagar and Mysuru. At the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB), you undergo following tests in order to ascertain your suitability and gauge your potential as an Officer in the Indian Air Force.

1. STAGE I Testing:

-  Officer Intelligence rating Test.
-  Picture perception and Discussion Test.

STAGE-I is a screening test. Those who qualify STAGE-I are eligible to undergo STAGE-II testing. STAGE-I disqualified candidates are routed back after announcement of results.

2. STAGE I Testing:

All STAGE-I qualified candidates undergo following tests as part of STAGE-II testing during next four to five days. Fifth day is for CPSS testing (Flying branch).

-Psychological Tests are written tests that are conducted by a Psychologist.

-Group Tests are interactive indoor and outdoor activities which are a combination of mental and physical work.

-Interview involves a personal conversation with an Interviewing Officer.

-Candidates who have applied for flying branch and have been recommended, will also have to undergo Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) test .

These tests will be explained to you in detail before they are conducted at the Selection Board.

AFCAT 2 Exam Stage 3: Medical Examinations: 

If you are recommended by the Selection Board, you will be sent for the medical examination either at Air Force Central Medical Establishment (AFCME), New Delhi or Institute of Aviation Medicine, Bengaluru.

AFCAT 2 Exam Stage 4: All India Merit List:

The IAF will prepare the final merit list based on candidates’ cumulative performance in the written test, AFSB interview, and medical assessment. Based on the vacancies available in various branches / sub branches, joining instructions are issued to join one of the Training establishments.
