Complete holidays have been declared in Kozhikode, Malappuram, Alappuzha and Pathanamthitta, while restricted holidays have been announced in selected areas of Kannur, Wayanad and Idukki. Authorities have clarified that previously scheduled public and university examinations will be conducted as per schedule unless notified otherwise.
Complete Holiday Declared in Four Kerala Districts
District Collectors have declared a complete holiday on Tuesday, August 4, for all educational institutions in Kozhikode, Malappuram, Alappuzha and Pathanamthitta districts due to continuous heavy rainfall and waterlogging. The decision has been taken to ensure the safety of students, teachers and staff amid adverse weather conditions.
The holiday applies to schools, colleges, professional colleges (where applicable), Anganwadi centres, madrasas and tuition centres. However, scheduled examinations in Kozhikode district will be conducted as per the existing timetable, and students appearing for these exams are advised to follow the official schedule and reach their examination centres safely.

Educational institutions functioning as relief camps have also been given a holiday in Wayanad and Idukki districts due to the continuing rainfall and emergency arrangements.
