Kerala SET January 2025: The LBS Centre for Science and Technology has commenced the registration process for the Kerala State Eligibility Test (KSET) in January 2025. Those who qualify can register for the Kerala SET January 2025 on the official website, lbsedp.lbscenter.in.
According to the official announcement, the deadline to finish the registration process for the Kerala SET January 2025 is October 20, 2024. Applicants can make any modifications that are required to their submitted applications between October 23 at 11 a.m. and October 25, 2024. The dates of availability of the online KSET 2024 entry ticket and the test will be announced later on the official website.
Applicants who wish to register for the state eligibility test must pay an application fee of Rs 1,000 for the general (Gen) and other backward class (OBC) categories. Aspirants from scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST), and people with disabilities (PwD) must pay Rs 500 to register for the Kerala SET in January 2025. The deadline for payment is October 22.
Kerala SET January 2025: Eligibility criteria
To be qualified for the Kerala State Eligibility Test (SET) January 2025 exam, aspirants must meet the following prerequisites.
- Applicants must have earned a master's degree in relevant disciplines with at least 50% or an equivalent grade, as well as a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree in any discipline from a Kerala university or an equivalent qualification from another recognized university.
- Applicants with a Master of Science in Education (MScEd) degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology and at least 50% marks or equivalent grade from any Regional Institute of Education sponsored by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) can apply.
- Applicants with an II class master's degree in communicative English, with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade, combined with a BEd, are qualified to take the SET in English.
- Aspirants who completed their qualifications through correspondence courses or open institutions not recognized by any university in Kerala are ineligible to take the KSET in January 2025.
- First-year postgraduate (PG) and BEd candidates are ineligible to apply for the Kerala SET January 2025.
“The applicants who are studying in the final year PG/BEd at the time of applying for SET should submit a declaration in the prescribed format duly attested by the principal. The same has to be submitted while applying for Original SET Certificate. The declaration format is available on the website,” the information bulletin read.
