NEST 2024: Registration for the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST 2024) for admission to NISER Bhubaneswar and the University of Mumbai's five-year Integrated MSc program will begin on March 30, 2024. The NEST exam in 2024 will be held on June 30, according to the announced timetable.

Admission to 257 places will be determined by NEST score 2024. Admission to MSc Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics at the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) in Bhubaneswar and the University of Mumbai, Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS) in Mumbai will be available via the NEST 2024 exam.

The institutes stated that the NEST exam will be based on the explained syllabus of NCERT Class 11 and 12 textbooks.

Applicants who are admitted will be eligible for an annual scholarship of Rs 60,000 through the DISHA programme of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. Furthermore, the scholarship awardees would receive an annual payment of Rs 20,000 for summer internships.

Top performers at NISER and UM-DAE CEBS, as well as those with total grades over a particular cut-off at the end of the programme, will be eligible to attend an interview for admission to the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) training school.

NEST 2024: Exam schedule

The NEST exam will be held in two shifts on June 30: shift 1 will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 12.30 p.m., and shift 2 will run from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

NEST 2024: Eligibility criteria

Candidates who meet the following eligibility requirements will be eligible to take the NEST entrance exam.

- Candidates must have passed the Class 12 board exam from any recognized educational board in India in 2022 or 2023.

- Those taking the Class 12 board exam in 2024 are also eligible.

- Students should have completed the science stream in Class 12.

- Applicants must have at least 60% aggregate or equivalent grade point average in Class 12.

- SC and ST students must have completed Class 12 with a 55% aggregate.

- There is no age limit for taking the NEST 2024 exam.
