ESE Registration 2027 Deadline: The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) is completing the process of registration for ESE (Engineering Services Examination) 2027 on today’s date, October 6, 2026. Eligible candidates may register themselves for the same through the website of UPSC till 6 PM at upsconline.nic.in.
This examination will be held for the recruitment of services/ posts under four streams of engineering viz. Civil Engineering (CE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Electrical Engineering (EE) and Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering (ETE).

Vacancies and Application Rules
It is estimated that around 480 vacancies, of which 19 vacancies are for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD), would be filled by this exam. The application process would comprise the URN and CAF.
The commission has advised candidates to read the detailed instructions carefully before filling out the application and to keep the required documents ready. Candidates can apply only online; no other mode of submission will be accepted. Once the form is submitted, it cannot be withdrawn, and no corrections will be permitted afterwards.

Eligibility Criteria & Key Dates:
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on January 1, 2027. Candidates must also be citizens of India, Nepal, or Bhutan.
As per the official notification, the UPSC ESE Preliminary exam is scheduled to take place on 31st January 2027. Candidates who successfully qualify for the Preliminary Exam will be eligible for the next phase of the recruitment process, the Main Exam on 18th June 2027.
