GATE 2025:The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a crucial exam for engineering graduates seeking opportunities in both academia and industry. Conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT-R) this year, the GATE 2025 results are set to be released on March 19.

This exam not only facilitates admission to prestigious institutions but also serves as a gateway for recruitment in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). GATE 2025: Admission and Financial Assistance

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national-level examination that assesses candidates' understanding in various subjects for admission to Master’s and Doctoral programs.

A valid GATE score can be used for seeking admission to Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, and Humanities in institutions supported by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and other government agencies.

Additionally, GATE scores qualify candidates for financial assistance. M.Tech students receive a stipend of Rs. 12,400 per month, generally paid for 22 months. For Ph.D. programs, the financial assistance is Rs. 37,000 per month for the first two years and Rs. 42,000 per month from the third to the fifth year.

What's New in GATE 2025: PSU Recruitment and Institutional Updates:

In GATE 2025, several updates have been announced. The Biological Sciences and Bioengineering Department at IIT Kanpur will admit M.Tech students based on GATE 2025 scores. On the PSU front, Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) will use GATE results for recruitment in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

Grid Controller of India Limited (GRID-INDIA) will use GATE results for Electrical Engineering, while GAIL (India) Limited will use scores from Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering for recruitment. These developments highlight the growing relevance of GATE scores in both academic admissions and PSU recruitment processes.
