UPSC Success Story: Cracking civil services exams is notoriously challenging, requiring immense discipline and focus. Every year, a large number of students take the UPSC exam, but only a select few actually succeed in becoming IAS, IPS, or IFS officers. In this article, we'll discuss the inspiring journey of Smriti Mishra, who not only cracked the UPSC exam but also became a source of inspiration for many others.

Smriti's Three-Year UPSC Preparation Journey

Smriti put three years of her life into preparing for the UPSC civil services exam, and her hard work paid off when she secured the 4th rank. Her journey was challenging but exciting. Even though she faced failure twice, her determination and smart work eventually led to success. Her father, Rajkumar Mishra, who is also a civil servant, served as her source of inspiration.

Smriti's Educational Background

Smriti is from Prayagraj, and she completed her schooling at St. Clair's Higher Secondary School in Agra. She pursued a BSc in life sciences at Miranda House (Delhi University). She has also studied law. Her family, including her mother and her brother Lokesh Mishra, who works as a lawyer in the Supreme Court, is also based in Delhi.

Smriti's Answer Writing Strategy

Smriti also revealed her strategy for effective answer writing. She has mentioned that even before clearing the prelims, candidates should practice writing answers. Smriti's approach involved practicing with questions from past years, staying updated with current events, and utilising her handwritten notes as essential tools for improving her answer writing skills.
