Actor Aamir Khan has always talked about his dream project. He often shared that he wanted to make a film on the Mahabharat. The actor-producer who is about to turn 60 on March 14, surprised everyone with an exciting update about his upcoming venture. During a recent event, Aamir revealed that he has begun working on the project. He confirmed that he is putting things together.
Aamir Khan pre-celebrated his birthday in Mumbai with media personale. During the interactin with them, he shared update about his dream project. He was heard saying, "I have just started. Just starting, putting the team together for the writing and all that, just started.”
When asked about the timeline of his project, the actor stated that completion of the film will depend on how the first year of production goes.
Aamir also talked about his project earlier in a chat with Galatta Plus. He revealed that he was a little scared to make the movie like Mahabharat. He stated, "When you are making a film on Mahabharat, you are not just making a film. You are performing a yagya. It is not just a film, it is so much more. And, that is why I am not ready for it yet. I am scared of bringing it out. Mahabharat will never let you down, but you may let down Mahabharat.”
In the coming months, Aamir will be seen headlining Sitaare Zameen Par. The film which is directed by RS Prasanna and stars Genelia D’Souza in a pivotal role. Khan will also take on the role of producer for this project. The upcoming movie is an official remake of the Spanish movie Champions. The sequel to Taare Zameen Par, follows the story of Ishaan’s journey. After 16 years, the actor will be reuniting with Darsheel Safary, who portrayed the young Ishaan in Taare Zameen Par, which was released in 2007.

Apart from acting, Aamir Khan is also producing Lahore 1947, which is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and features Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, and others.
