Aamir Khan Hails Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' Show, Calls It 'A Very Important Piece Of Communication'

Aamir Khan spoke highly of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's radio show, Mann Ki Baat, referring to it as a "significant communication tool," at the National Conclave on Mann Ki Baat @100 in New Delhi on Tuesday.

In regards to Mann Ki Baat, Aamir Khan stated that the radio show is a crucial method of communication that the country's leader uses to converse with the public about important issues, share ideas, and provide recommendations.

He further added that this approach of leading through communication is a way for the leader to convey their vision of the future and seek support from their people. According to Aamir, Mann Ki Baat is an important medium for this communication to take place.

"It's a very important piece of communication that the leader of the country does with the people, discussing important issues, putting forward thoughts, giving suggestions, leading… That is how you lead by communication. You tell your people what you're looking at, how you're seeing the future, how you want your support in that. (It's an) important communication that happens in Mann Ki Baat," he said.

When asked whether Prime Minister Modi only discusses what he wants to talk about during Mann Ki Baat, Aamir responded that it is the PM’s prerogative since he is leading the programme. He further explained that Mann Ki Baat is a crucial initiative as it connects the Prime Minister with people across the country, allowing him to hear their opinions and thoughts.

"I think it's his prerogative because he's doing it... It is his method of hearing what the people have to say connecting with people across the country. I think it's a very important initiative."

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar inaugurated the one-day conference, which had Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur as its distinguished guest. The 100th episode of the monthly radio show is slated to air on April 30.

Aamir, on the other hand, was seen in Laal Singh Chaddha, which released in 2022 and featured Kareena Kapoor as his co-star. The movie also had Naga Chaitanya and Mona Singh in significant roles, but it failed to meet box office expectations and received a mixed response from critics.

Currently, Aamir is appearing in several advertisements for Dream11, where he makes fun of himself, even about the underwhelming success of his film Laal Singh Chaddha. One of these ads feature Aamir cautioning Jasprit Bumrah to bowl carefully as he can hit big shots with his bat. However, Jasprit retorts by teasing him, asking, "Itne hits maarte ho sir…to Laal Singh ka kya hua (You hit so many big shots, what happened to Laal Singh)?
