Over the years, Aamir Khan has earned acclaim and numerous awards for his standout performances in various movies and for his versatility as an actor. With this unmatched success, fans have had plenty of reasons to celebrate Aamir over the years. Even after enjoying massive success, the superstar claims that he has had insecurities. Recently, Aamir opened up about the "inferiority complex" he had in his early days due to his height, making him fear that it would hamper his ability to gain acceptance from audiences.

Aamir Khan during an conversation with Nana Patekar shared how he used to feel about his height early in his career. He said, "Yes, I did. I used to feel that what if people don’t accept me because of my height. This was my fear. But later, I realised that all of this does not matter at all. But at that time, some kind of insecurity creeps in.”

Nana told Aamir that he had a “nice face” and stated, "Look at my face. With this face, I could work for 50 years.” Then, Aamir revealed how he used to stress out at the start but eventually realized that work is more important than anything else. He added, “The things that stress us out in the beginning, we later realise that these things don’t matter at all. What is important is how honestly you are working and how your work can enchant people, and after that everything else is unimportant."

This is not the first time when Aamir has opened up about his insecurity about his height. Back in 2012 during the promotion of his movie Talaash, also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Rani Mukerji in the lead roles, he revealed how he was scared that people would call him "tingu" (slang for short height).

Aamir Khan has donned multiple hats in his career, delivering memorable movies as an actor, producer and filmmaker. He has proved his mettle as a producer with hit movies like Dangal. Next, he is ready to come up with Lahore 1947 under his production. The film stars Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi and Ali Fazal in key roles. Aamir also has Sitaare Zameen Par, which also stars Genelia Deshmukh in the pipeline.
