JE Entertainment Desk: Om Raut-directorial "Adipurush" is all set for its theatrical release. The advance tickets sale for the movie, starring Kriti Sanon and Prabhas in the lead role, began on Sunday and it has been receiving a good response since then. Adipurush has so far sold approximately 50,000 tickets in cinema halls across India.

According to Sacnilk, Prabhas, and Kriti Sanon's movie earned 1-2 crore from the sale of approximately 50,000 tickets. A report in Pinkvilla stated that over 18,000 tickets were sold in National cinema chains, PVR, Cinepolis, and INOX by 6 pm on Sunday.

As announced by the makers, "Adipurush" will have one seat reserved for Lord Hanuman. Director Om Raut announced during the trailer launch in Tirupati that one seat will be kept empty in every theater as a mark of respect to Lord Hanuman. Soon after this, reports were rife that the respective seat will cost more as compared to the usual seats.

On Monday, the movie's production company T-Series refuted all the claims on Twitter. T-Series tweeted, "There are misleading reports circulating in the media regarding #Adipurush ticket pricing. We want to clarify that there will be no differences in rates for seats next to the one reserved for Hanuman Ji! Don’t fall for false information! Jai Shri Ram!"

"Adipurush" Release Date

Filmmaker Om Raut is currently gearing up for the release of "Adipurush", starring Kriti Sanon and Prabhas in the lead roles. The movie also stars Sunny Singh, Devdatta Nage and Saif Ali Khan in pivotal roles. "Adipurush" is all set to hit the theatres on June 16, this year, and the fans can't wait to witness their favourite actors sharing the screen space for the first time.

Adapted from the Sanskrit epic Ramayana, "Adipurush" is an upcoming mythological film, produced by T-Series and Retrophiles. The movie is written and directed by Om Raut and was concurrently filmed in Hindi and Telugu. The movie has a runtime of 2 hours and 54 minutes.
