Allu Arjun and Samantha Ruth Prabhu's fans might have a reason to rejoice as the two talented South actors are reportedly in talks for an upcoming project by renowned director Atlee. While Samantha has not signed any Telugu projects since her appearance in the successful film 'Kushi' alongside Vijay Deverakonda, the buzz surrounding her potential collaboration with Allu Arjun has sparked excitement among fans.

According to a recent report by PinkVilla, filmmaker Atlee is set to venture into new commercial territory with Allu Arjun, with filming expected to commence in October 2024. The duo has reportedly finalised the subject for the film, and Atlee has already begun the casting process. The report has revealed that discussions are underway with Samantha to come on board as the female lead. If confirmed, this project will mark a reunion for Allu Arjun and Samantha, who previously worked together in 'Son of Satyamurthy' and shared screen space for a song in 'Pushpa: The Rise.'

The report revealed, "Samantha and Atlee have previously worked together in Theri, and the duo is now in talks for a reunion on the Allu Arjun film. Both of them shared a great bond back in the day and are excited about this reunion. It’s among the most awaited films in present times and will feature some of the biggest names in Indian cinema."

The highly anticipated project, slated to be a high-budget action extravaganza, is set to begin production later this year. Alongside Samantha, the script offers opportunities for additional female leads, with casting procedures already in progress. Allu Arjun, who is currently wrapping up filming for 'Pushpa 2,' is gearing up for his collaboration with Atlee, while Samantha is preparing for the release of 'Honey Bunny' alongside Varun Dhawan.

Samantha had previously announced that she was suffering from Myositis and had decided to take a break from work to focus on her health. In a recent interview with Femina, she opened up about her decision, stating, "It was the best decision because there’s no way I would have been able to continue working. The stress of work, coupled with the condition, is not the easiest thing to handle. I’m really glad that I gave myself time to recover; I had been working for 13 years straight."
