Fifteen years ago, Ankita Lokhande began her acting journey with the popular television show 'Pavitra Rishta.' On this special occasion, she took to Instagram to express her gratitude and reflect on the memorable moments from her career, particularly remembering her co-star Sushant Singh Rajput.
In her heartfelt post, Ankita shared a video featuring clips from 'Pavitra Rishta' and her other projects, such as the 2019 film 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.' The video also included a snippet from her appearance on 'Bigg Boss 17,' where she spoke about her experience on 'Pavitra Rishta.'
Ankita, who played the role of Archana, reminisced about her time on the show and the impact it had on her life. She fondly remembered Sushant Singh Rajput, who portrayed Manav. Their on-screen chemistry was widely loved, and the two even dated for a while before parting ways. Sadly, Sushant was found dead in his Mumbai apartment in June 2020.
In her caption, Ankita wrote, "15 years ago, I started my journey as Archana in 'Pavitra Rishta.' Little did I know that even after years, I would continue to receive so much love for my role, which has become my identity. I sometimes feel I was destined to be Archana. She has taught me a lot about life."
Ankita expressed her gratitude to Ekta Kapoor and Balaji Telefilms for giving her the role of a lifetime at the start of her career. "Main rahoon ya na rahoon, the love I have received, Archana and 'Pavitra Rishta' have received from each one of you will keep me alive forever in your hearts, and I don’t think there’s anything more precious than that. But my journey wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t have Sushant’s support. I didn’t even know how to act when I started 'Pavitra Rishta.' He taught me, and I will always be thankful for him."
She also highlighted the show's unique portrayal of Marathi culture on Hindi television, noting that it resonated with viewers due to its innocence and authenticity.
