Jailer Actor Rajinikanth Meets Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav: Following his trip to Ranchi, South superstar Rajinikanth arrived in Lucknow on August 19. During his visit to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's residence, the star paid his respects by touching the CM's feet. On August 20, Thalaivar met Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav at his residence in Lucknow. Yadav shared a tweet detailing their interaction, accompanied by a picture capturing their warm embrace.

Following their meeting, Yadav posted a photo with Thalaivar and expressed in Hindi, "When hearts meet, people embrace. During my engineering studies in Mysore, the happiness I used to feel seeing Rajinikanth ji on the screen is still intact. We met in person 9 years back and have been friends ever since."

Following his meeting with Yadav, Thalaivar embarked on a journey to Ayodhya.

Currently stationed in Lucknow, Rajinikanth, the 72-year-old megastar, is enjoying the success of his recent film 'Jailer'. A special premiere of the film was held in Lucknow on Saturday, in the presence of CM Adityanath's deputy, Keshav Prasad Maurya. Maurya stated that he enjoyed Rajnikanth's outstanding portrayal in the film.

During his interaction with the media, Thalaivar had stated his intention to watch 'Jailer' alongside the chief minister. He stated, "I will watch the film with the CM. The movie's success feels like a blessing from above," Rajnikanth expressed in an ANI interview before his visit to the state capital.

"I had the opportunity to watch the movie 'Jailer'. Having seen many of Rajinikanth's films, I recognise his exceptional talent. Even though the movie might lack extensive content, his performance magnifies its significance," the deputy chief minister told PTI.

Jailer Box Office Collection Day 11:

'Jailer' is enjoying exceptional success at the box office. The film has garnered a substantial Rs 262.15 crore in India thus far and even after 11 days of release, its momentum remains unwavering, consistently achieving impressive double-digit figures every day. On Sunday, it attained a Tamil occupancy rate of 47.81 per cent.
