BLACKPINK marked their 8th debut anniversary in a heartwarming reunion with BLINKs on August 8, 2024, KST. The celebration unfolded at the much-anticipated OUR AREA fan sign event, a special occasion that YG Entertainment had teased earlier. With all four members—Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa—gracing the stage, the atmosphere was electric, and the cheers from the lucky fans in attendance echoed throughout the venue.

The members, dressed to impress, radiated joy as they greeted the fans who have supported them since their debut. Social media quickly became a treasure trove of videos and photos from the event, with one common thread—BLACKPINK's undeniable aura and their lasting impact on the global music scene. Despite the group's last musical release together being in 2022, the unwavering love and enthusiasm from BLINKs proved that their influence remains as strong as ever.

The highlight of the evening came when the quartet performed their emotional ballad STAY (released in 2016), a track that holds a special place in the hearts of both the members and their fans. As the group sang, the crowd joined in, creating a poignant reflection on BLACKPINK's journey over the past eight years. Their iconic introduction, 'Hana dul set Annyeonghaseyo BLACKPINK imnida!' (1, 2, 3...Hello, We're BLACKPINK!), was met with overwhelming applause, a testament to the deep bond between the group and their fans.

HAVE A LOOK:

Earlier in the day, the members also connected with BLINKs through a Weverse Live session, where they cut a celebratory cake and shared updates about their recent activities. They hinted at future plans, fueling excitement for what lies ahead. Reports and an announcement from YG Entertainment suggest that a new album release and another world tour might be on the horizon (in 2025), keeping fans on the edge of their seats.

Adding to the festivities, the fan sign event featured a stage reminiscent of BLACKPINK's Coachella 2023 performance, further enhancing the nostalgic atmosphere. However, the exclusivity of the event meant that only 88 fortunate fans could witness this unforgettable celebration in person.

A Glimpse into the BORN PINK Movie Tour:

As part of their 8th anniversary celebrations, BLACKPINK is set to attend the BORN PINK IN TOUR Pink Carpet event on August 9, 2024. This event offers fans another chance to connect with the group, following the overwhelming success of their 2022-2023 BORN PINK world tour, which became the most-attended concert tour by a Kpop girl group.

The Pink Carpet event, held at the CGV Yeongdeungpo SCREENX Theater, will feature a special screening of the BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR BORN PINK documentary. This film captures the magic of their second world tour and was released in over 110 countries, setting a new record for Kpop girl group films. While only 250 fans will be able to attend the event in person, those lucky enough to be there will have the chance to meet the members and celebrate their incredible journey.
