BLACKPINK Reunites! After nine months apart, BLACKPINK Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa reunited to celebrate their 8th debut anniversary, leaving fans emotional and thrilled. The group hosted a special livestream event to mark this significant milestone in their career, showcasing their enduring bond and love for their fans, known as BLINKs. As soon as the clock struck midnight in South Korea, BLACKPINK surprised fans with a livestream to commemorate their 8th debut anniversary. The quartet, beaming with joy, greeted BLINKs as a group for the first time in months, having focused on their solo activities during the hiatus.

The Weverse livestream began with sweet greetings from the members, who then sang a birthday song for both themselves and their devoted fandom. They cut two decadent cakes, symbolizing the dual celebration of their journey and their fans' unwavering support. The members shared that while they had been meeting separately over the past few months, it had been a long time since they had come together as a complete group.

Rosé playfully declared herself the "best and luckiest" member, having met up with each of her bandmates during the hiatus. The unnie line, comprising Jisoo and Rosé, didn't miss the opportunity to tease their beloved maknae, Lisa. They joked about her acting debut in The White Lotus season 3, while Jennie humorously questioned Lisa about her reluctance to participate in the ROCKSTAR dance challenge with the other members.

Reflecting on their solo activities, Jennie and Jisoo admitted that they sometimes felt lonely during their individual schedules. The livestream concluded with a hint of a possible live session the following day, keeping fans eagerly anticipating more interactions.

In December 2023, YG Entertainment announced that all four members had decided not to renew their individual contracts with the label. Jennie, Lisa and Jisoo launched their own solo labels(ODD ATELIER, LLOUD and BLISSOO respectively), while Rosé continued her journey under YG Entertainment's associate company, THE BLACK LABEL.

Despite their busy solo careers, the members reunited to celebrate their 8th debut anniversary. They have planned a fan sign event on August 8, followed by a screening of their concert film, BLACKPINK World Tour BORN PINK in Cinemas, on August 9.

The announcement of their reunion sparked a wave of emotions among BLINKs. The "OUR AREA" video shared on BLACKPINK's social media accounts initially confused, but the notification on Weverse confirming their reunion brought immense joy to fans. The sight of all four members together after such a long separation was a moment of great relief and happiness.

BLINKs took to social media platforms like X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their excitement and share their heartfelt emotions. The reunion reaffirmed the group's strong bond and the close-knit nature of their relationships, despite their individual pursuits.

In addition to their anniversary celebrations, PVRINOX Pictures in India will showcase BLACKPINK's WORLD TOUR: BORN PINK concert film from August 9 to 11.
