BLACKPINK Jennie was recently spotted in Los Angeles, grabbing dinner with an unexpected friend – GOT7’s BamBam. Their outing at the famous Sushi Park restaurant in West Hollywood quickly went viral after photos surfaced online. Fans were pleasantly surprised by the duo’s friendship, especially since BamBam is known to be close with Lisa, Jennie’s BLACKPINK bandmate.

Jennie, who was in the U.S. for a brief trip, made time to visit this low-key celebrity hotspot that’s previously welcomed stars like Beyonce, Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez. Paparazzi photos of the two idols at Sushi Park were shared on Instagram and fans couldn’t contain their excitement. The sighting quickly blew up on social media, with netizens linking the two Kpop idols' names together. Jennie had previously been linked to BTS V after allegedly being spotted by French paps in Paris. 

However, on September 19 IST, a report by AllKpop states that an official from the SOLO singer's agency Odd Atelier formally addressed the dating rumours and said, "As Jennie and BamBam are close friends, they met up in the United States for a meal, nothing more."

Jennie later took to her own Instagram account, posting solo shots of herself in the same all-black outfit she was spotted wearing at the restaurant. Her look featured an Alaïa leather jacket and Acne Studios pinstriped trousers, which drew admiration from her followers. One fan gushed, “Jennie’s fit is everything!”

While BamBam and Jennie’s friendship may have surprised some fans, many were thrilled to see them hanging out. Jennie’s followers also speculated about her next big project, especially after it was revealed that YG choreographer Silvergun was present at the dinner, suggesting that something exciting might be in the works.

Sushi Park, where the duo dined, is known for its traditional omakase-style sushi and strict rules against trendy sushi rolls. Despite the restaurant’s rising fame due to celebrity sightings, its owner, Peter Park, stays out of the spotlight and focuses on providing an exceptional experience for his regular customers.
