BLACKPINK's Jennie is officially a runway model now. The BLACKPINK star made her runway debut for Jacquemus on June 10, 2024, in Capri, Italy. Jennie has already wowed fans as a singer, rapper, actor and CEO (with her label ODD ATELIER), and now she’s taken on the runway, closing the Jacquesmus "La Casa" show.

Against the stunning backdrop of Capri’s cliffside sea view, Jennie made a breathtaking entrance. The event, held on Casa Malapart's roof patio, was attended by stars like Dua Lipa, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Gwyneth Paltrow. Despite the star-studded audience, Jennie stole the show in a backless, sleeveless black midi dress paired with Jacquemus' turquoise Le Rond Carre bag.

Jennie’s runway debut wasn’t her first encounter with the fashion world. She’s a familiar face at major fashion events and has led campaigns for Chanel, Calvin Klein and Gentle Monster. Her longstanding association with Chanel even earned her the nickname 'Human Chanel'. This connection was especially highlighted at her 2023 Met Gala debut, where she wore a vintage 1990 Chanel dress, honoring the late designer Karl Lagerfeld.

The excitement surrounding Jennie’s runway debut began 24 hours before the event. Jacquemus teased her presence at the venue through social media, sparking speculations about her role in the show. Jennie appeared in a cryptic Instagram post, posing against Capri’s magnificent scenery. Her hairdo in the post matched her look during the show, adding to the anticipation.

 

Jennie’s fashion journey includes many notable moments. At the 2023 Met Gala, she was one of the most talked-about first-time attendees. As one of Karl Lagerfeld’s last muses for Chanel, her presence on the red carpet was highly anticipated. Fellow BLACKPINK member Rosé, who attended the previous year, advised Jennie to "Go and have fun!"

In 2024, Jennie returned to the Met Gala, this time wearing a custom-made blue mini-dress from Alaïa, featuring an asymmetrical cut-out across the midriff. Her sleek ponytail and pearl earrings perfectly complemented her look, showcasing her evolution as a fashion icon.
