Actor Shim Hyung Tak and his Japanese wife, Hirai Saya, recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary in a heartwarming and unique way. Shim Hyung Tak, who announced his engagement in 2023, married Hirai Saya, a non-celebrity 18 years younger than him. The couple gained widespread attention due to Saya's uncanny resemblance to BTS' maknae Jungkook.
The couple's popularity soared after appearing on the variety show Chosun’s Real Romantic (also known as Lovers of Joseon). Clips from their episode went viral, catching even Jungkook's attention.
To mark their first anniversary, Shim Hyung Tak shared photos on Instagram, featuring some familiar faces like comedian Moon Se Yoon and... Jungkook? Well, not exactly. While Jungkook is currently serving his mandatory military enlistment, the couple found a creative way to include him in their celebration.
The anniversary photos showcased standees of celebrities, including former TVXQ member Kim Jaejoong and BTS' Jungkook. These images were taken from a recent episode of Men’s Life These Days: Groom’s Class, where Hirai Saya was surprised and delighted by the appearance of Jungkook's standee, thoughtfully brought out by her husband.
