BTS Jungkook continues to break records, even while serving in the South Korean military. His debut solo album GOLDEN has now surpassed a remarkable 5 billion streams on Spotify, making it the fastest Kpop album to achieve this feat. The album’s global success is a testament to Jungkook’s enduring influence, proving his popularity remains strong even during his hiatus.
On February 2, 2025, GOLDEN reached an incredible milestone, becoming the quickest Kpop album to hit 5 billion streams on Spotify. Across all credits, Jungkook has accumulated 8.2 billion streams on the platform. Additionally, he has become the fastest Kpop idol to gain 17 million followers on Spotify, further solidifying his global star status.
Released in 2023, GOLDEN took the world by storm with its infectious tracks. Among the album’s standout collaborations are SEVEN featuring Latto and 3D featuring Jack Harlow, both of which topped international charts. This success was just the beginning of Jungkook’s solo journey.

Jungkook’s fans got an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of GOLDEN through his solo documentary movie, I AM STILL, released in September 2024. The documentary chronicles the 150-day process behind creating the album, capturing the artistry and dedication involved.
In December 2024, an extended version of the documentary was released as a docuseries titled I AM STILL THE ORIGINAL. This series offers fans an even deeper dive into Jungkook’s creative journey. It includes an additional 55 minutes of footage, including performances and moments that were not part of the original movie. Notably, the series features the full version of Jungkook’s GOLDEN Live On Stage album showcase from November 2023, offering fans the chance to experience live performances of tracks like Closer to You, Yes or No, Please Don't Change, Hate You, Short Glass of Tears and Still With You.
