BTS’ Jungkook, the youngest member of the globally renowned Kpop boyband, has recently become a trending topic on social media. Fans of BTS and viewers of Inside Out 2 have noted a striking resemblance between Jungkook and the character Envy from the animated film. This comparison has sparked extensive discussions among BTS fans and movie enthusiasts alike.

In 2023, Jungkook notably sported a bob-cut hairstyle with fringes similar to that of the Envy character. Envy, one of Riley Anderson’s emotions in the film, is depicted as a small girl with cyan-coloured skin, blue bobbed hair and large, expressive eyes. Fans couldn't resist drawing parallels between Jungkook and Envy, even noting that the two wear similar sweaters.

Inside Out 2, released on June 14, has drawn viewers to theatres. Among them are BTS fans who, upon watching the film, couldn’t help but draw parallels between Jungkook and Envy. This comparison has now become the subject of many clips and videos shared on platform X (formerly Twitter). Fans have highlighted the similarities in hairstyle and other resemblances like Jungkook’s ear piercings and Envy’s hair clips.

In the film, Envy is seen wearing a purple top with white dots. Fans noticed this is quite similar to a lavender sweatshirt with polka dots that Jungkook wore during BTS: In The Soop season 2. This keen observation has led to several edited scenes combining clips from the movie with real-life footage of Jungkook.

The buzz around this comparison has led to numerous instances where fans have pointed out Jungkook’s appearance closely mirroring that of Envy. One fan tweeted, “envy is another form of bobbed hairstyle jungkook and i will die on this hill,” along with a picture comparing the two.

As for Jungkook himself, he recently made headlines with the release of his song Never Let Go. He dedicated the track to his fans during the celebration of 2024 FESTA, an annual event that marks the anniversary of BTS’ debut. The song has already achieved a record-breaking debut and has gone on to become the biggest debut day for a song by a Kpop artist on Spotify’s Global Weekly Chart this year.

Moreover, on June 12, Jungkook was seen at the HYBE Headquarters in Seoul with his fellow BTS members Jin, RM, Suga, Jhope, Jimin and V. They had gathered to celebrate Jin’s discharge from military service.
