In his Disney+ solo documentary JUNG KOOK: I AM STILL, the singer revealed that he almost adopted the name 'Ian' for his career. The inspiration behind this potential stage name? Renowned choreographer Ian Eastwood, who also contributed to the choreography for Jungkook’s track Standing Next to You. During a heartfelt conversation featured in the documentary, Jungkook explained his admiration for Eastwood’s dance skills.
BTS Jungkook shared, “I wanted to use Ian as my stage name because of him.” The Kpop idol reflected on how deeply Eastwood's artistry influenced him. The name resonated with Jungkook on a personal level, representing his appreciation for the choreographer’s unique moves and style. However, the singer ultimately chose to embrace his real name, staying true to his identity as Jeon Jungkook.

After the remarkable success of GOLDEN, Jungkook chose to fulfil his mandatory military service. He enlisted on December 12, alongside fellow BTS member Jimin and both are now stationed at the 5th Infantry Division of the Republic of Korea Army.
