BTS' memoir, 'Beyond the Story: 10-Year Record of BTS' has given the BTS ARMY an inside look at the group's decade-long career and marks the details of their experiences. From their trainee days to the present times, each member gave their perspective about several moments they shared and their most memorable times as well.

Explaining their success and struggles, the book dives into the first-time promotion of BTS in the United States. The detailing of when the group began to reach global fame and how suddenly they came under the spotlight in America to being invited on American talk shows, all supported their leader RM acting as a shoulder to the group because of his fluency in English.

BTS member J-Hope stated, "If it wasn't for RM, we would have been in serious trouble… It would have been difficult for us to get so popular in the U.S., in my view. RM's role is huge."

While promoting overseas, the group also found little comfort in fellow American artists and witnessed two ways they often approached them. In the memoir, RM said that some looked down on the group and stated, "There's the kind who're like, 'Oh, you guys are famous these days, good job, I guess? Go for it,' and seem to look down on us a little…"

Some artists viewed it as pure business, where RM said, "… and those who're all business and go, 'I really want to do a song with you!" But one man stood as an exception for the group.

RM said, "Chris Martin was none of these three. He was an exception. He is one of the most sincere overseas artists I've ever met." Later on, Coldplay collaborated with BTS on their song 'My Universe' in 2021. Whereas, in 2022, Jin was seen collaborating with the singer again for his song 'The Astronaut.'

BTS has come a long way overcoming the misconceptions and hardships, but have always maintained their friendship with Coldplay showing their love and support for each other.
