BTS’ Spring Day Turns Seven: BTS or Bangtan Sonyeondan released their melancholic song ‘Spring Day’ on love, loss, and longing seven years ago today. The song was released as the title track of their sixth studio album 'Wings' repackage 'You Never Walk Alone'. It was promoted as the band's second special album and was released on February 13, 2017. The song is loved by ARMYs for its consoling messages on dealing with the loss of a loved one, missing them, to finally accepting their absence and moving on. The song addresses the pain and trauma one feels in the absence of a loved one and how difficult it becomes to deal with it.

The song is loved by ARMYs and it's evident with the several wins it has to its credit. It's worth noting that BTS' Spring Day and Busker Busker's Cherry Blossom Ending were both tied in having the most unique listeners on MelOn, with 8.3 million listeners each. However, recently Spring Day broke the record by achieving 8.4 million unique listeners. This song has become one of the most popular on the streaming platform and is the most streamed and most liked on MelOn. IU's Through the Night follows in second place. Additionally, BTS' Dynamite, Boy With Love, and DNA are also among the top 10 most streamed songs on MelOn.

The song is also said to be based on the Sewol ferry tragedy that killed several students in April, 2014. Members RM and Suga also said that it is based on their personal experiences.

On the song's seventh anniversary, BTS leader and rapper RM aka Kim Namjoon, took to his Instagram stories and shared a song highlighting its significant milestone. He added several Heart Hands emojis.

Spring Day is appreciated for its various aspects. Its music video exudes excellent cinematography and deep messages with members RM, Jin, Suga, Jhope, Jimin, V and Jungkook shot beautifully as they portray the song's poignant themes. BTS ARMYs are another big fan of the song lyrics. The English translation of the lyrics reveals that the song ends with "Please stay, please stay there a little longer".
