CID 2: Parth Samthaan recently stepped in as ACP Ayushmaan after ACP Pradyuman’s demise in the show. Ayushmaan’s entry has shaken the dynamics of the CID team led by officers Abhijeet and Daya (played by Aditya Srivastava and Dayanand Shetty, respectively). In the recent promo, both officers are coping with the loss of their beloved senior ACP Pradyuman (portrayed by Shivaji Satam). In recently released promos, things seem tense in the new CID team.
In one of the promos, Ayushmaan said, “Only thing that impresses me is results.” Daya then added, “Don’t you worry ACP sir, in just a couple of days you will have the results: A dead Barbosa.” The response seemed upset with Ayushmaan, who then responded, “You guys are CID officers, not gangsters. You just catch Barbosa. Law and order will take care of the rest.”
Abhijeet then interrupted the conversation and said, “We will decide Barbosa’s punishment.” In another promo, Ayushmaan said, “Kab tak ACP Pradyuman ki maut par aansu bahaaoge? Ye jo dard hai, emotions, aansu inn sabki potli bana kar office ke bahar latka kar aaya karo.” After his statement, Abhijeet and Daya gave a furious look.
Fans shared their views on the new promo post. A user said, “I loved his acting.” Another said, “Parth as ACP AYUSHMAAN He is perfection at its best.” A comment read, “He indeed carry forward the aura he always had with the intense in his eyes, the authority in his presence & with the dialogue delivery.. A complete package Actor Samthaan is what we saw & can't stop thinking about it.” Another user said, “He came, he saw, he conquered—and we could not be more prouder.” A fan added, “The calm, the storm, the legend in the making—Parth Samthaan, ACP Ayushmaan reporting on duty #ParthSamthaan.”
The second season of CID premieres every Saturday and Sunday on Sony TV. There are reports suggesting that Pradyuman’s character might be back in the show. However, there is no official confirmation yet.
