The official teaser of Kareena Kapoor’s OTT debut is out. The film is titled, ‘Jaane Jaan’ and co-stars Vijay Varma and Jagdeep Ahlawat in lead roles. ‘Jaane Jaan’ is helmed by Sujoy Ghosh, who is well-known for his ‘Kahaani’ franchise. The film is the live action adaptation of ‘Devotion of Suspect X’ which is a novel by Keigo Higashino. The English translation of the novel was further nominated for the 2012 Edgar Award for Best Novel.
‘Jaane Jaan’ will be released on the occasion of Kareena Kapoor Khan’s birthday i.e. on September 21. Netflix announced the new venture on Instagram, which will take you into the world of ‘Jaane Jaan’, showcasing Sujoy Ghosh’s signature crime thriller direction. Kareena Kapoor Khan is set to play the role of a mother, and can be seen in a whole new striking bare look.

On the other hand, Vijay Varma is playing the role of a police officer, and Jaideep Ahlawat’s look will surely make you double take. Sharing the video, Netflix wrote, “Jaane Jaan is coming on our very own Jaane Jaan’s birthday @kareenakapoorkhan Mark your calendars for a present like no other. #JaaneJaan arrives 21 September, only on Netflix!”
According to a report in Pinkvilla, speaking about the film, Sujoy Ghosh said, “Jaane Jaan is based on the book which has been the love of my life for a long long time. From the day I read Devotion of Suspect X, I wanted to adapt it into a film. It was the most amazing love story I had ever read and today thanks to Kareena, Jaideep and Vijay that story is alive on screen. We all worked very hard to tell this story and hopefully, the audience will love it as much as we do.”

Talking about Kareena Kapoor Khan’s work front, the actress will next be seen in Hansal Mehta’s directorial, and has ‘The Crew’ helmed by Rhea Kapoor in the pipeline. The film also features Tabu and Kriti Sanon in lead roles.
