Janhvi Kapoor recently revealed in an interview with The Lallantop that she was once replaced by Sara Ali Khan in a film, which has since been released. The actress, who made her acting debut with Dhadak in July 2018, hinted at the possibility of the film in question being Rohit Shetty's Simmba, which starred Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan in the lead roles.

The speculation arose from reports in 2018 that suggested Janhvi Kapoor was initially supposed to star in Simmba but was eventually replaced. When asked about the incident, Janhvi confirmed being replaced by Sara Ali Khan, indicating that the film she was referring to has now been released.

Janhvi Kapoor's statement has sparked curiosity among fans and the media, who are wondering if the film in question is indeed Simmba. However, Janhvi did not explicitly mention the name of the film during the interview.

Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor is gearing up for the release of her upcoming movie, Mr and Mrs Mahi. Directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Zee Studios and Dharma Productions, the film will see Janhvi in the role of a budding cricketer. Janhvi has been actively promoting the film and recently shared insights into her intense training regimen for the role.

During the trailer launch of Mr and Mrs Mahi, Janhvi Kapoor revealed that she underwent rigorous training to prepare for the role. She mentioned losing weight and training in cricket for hours every day. Her coach, Abhishek Nayar, who also coaches IPL players, ensured that her training was intense and on par with professional players. Mr and Mrs Mahi is scheduled to hit theatres on May 31, 2024.
