Kuch Kuch Hota Hai Alternate Ending? Here’s Who Kajol Feels Her Character Anjali Should Have Ended Up With

Bollywood star Kajol recently spoke about her character Anjali in the 1997 fan-favourite film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. The actor also spoke about who she would have chosen amongst Shah Rukh Khan’s Rahul and Salman Khan’s Aman during the climax of the movie.

Directed by Karan Johar, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai revolved around college best friends Rahul and Anjali, who are reconnected after several years. Rahul’s daughter help reunite the two as they get their happily ever after and get married.

Talking about her version of Anjali in the film, Kajol said in an interview, “My version of Anjali would never be wearing a saree. She would be wearing those track pants and fab, expensive sneakers with it and make that look good.”

Speaking to Humans of Bombay, Kajol also highlighted whom she would have chosen for Anjali: Aman or Rahul. “On script level, maybe I would have gone with Salman's character, but in the film, if you watch the film, there is no choice about the ending, it has to be the way it is,” the actor said.

In the same interview, Kajol also spoke about how she was body shamed during her initial years in Bollywood. The actor revealed being called out for being ‘fat and dark skinned’ and said that she didn’t believe she was beautiful.

“‘She is dark, she is fat and she wears specs all the time,’ These were some of the judgments that were passed when I first started working in the industry. I couldn’t care less. I knew I was smart, cool and better than everyone out there who had any negatives to say for me. So, I kept continuing to be myself and never let it show. Sooner or later, when they couldn’t pull me down, the world simply embraced me for who I was,” the actor said in her interview.
