Movies That Silently Debuted On OTT In 2024: This year several popular movies made their digital debut silently and shocked the viewers. Thangalaan (Netflix)

The Tamil movie, starring Chiyaan Vikram and Malavika Mohanan in the lead roles, was initially released in theatres on August 15, 2024. The film was delayed several times to be released on the OTT platform Netflix. After around 3 months of its theatrical release, Thangalaan silently released on Netflix on November 10. The story revolves around the lives of the Kolar Gold Fields, Karnataka. 

Stree 2 (Prime Video)

One of the biggest blockbusters of 2024, the horror comedy starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, was released in theatres on August 15, 2024. The film silently made its OTT debut on Prime Video for rent. Later, there were speculations that the movie would be available for free on the OTT platform on October 11. But Stree 2 arrived on Prime Video a day prior which was on October 10.
