Bigg Boss 19 has once again come under huge scrutiny after some contestants, such as Kunickaa Sadanand, Amaal Mallik, Shehbaz Badesha, Neelam Giri and Tanya Mittal, have body-shamed Ashnoor Kaur. They were seen discussing Asnoor’s weight, despite her efforts to maintain a fitness routine. They can be seen talking about her diet and exercise regimen with Neelam. Tanya went on to say, “Kitni moti hai, sara din gym karti hai fir bhi itni moti kaise? Uske dresses hum par zyada suit karenge (She’s so fat, how is she still so big despite going to the gym every day? Her dresses would look better on us).”
Mittal was also seen claiming Ashnoor looked more than her age. Kunickaa added, “Even my 13-year-old granddaughter knows what to eat and what not to.” During a ration task, Tanya was even seen calling the 21 year old actress, ‘haathi’ (elephant), while continued to fat shame her.
On the other hand, Amaal Mallik and Shehbaz Badesha also talked about her face’s shape. Amaal remarked that Kaur ‘has an egg-like face” (“Ande jaisi shakal hai”), to which Shehbaz replied, “She has become a thepla.”
Reacting to these remarks, Ashnoor Kaur’s father Gurmeet Singh took to his Instagram stories on Thursday and wrote, “Why is everyone so insecure about a 21-year-old? Oh, I know… they can’t match her levels of dignity and grace.”

Not just viewers, but several celebrities like Gauahar Khan, Manu Punjabi, Kamya Panjabi, and Rohan Mehra all called out the behaviour of the contestants and came in support of Ashnoor Kaur.
This week, the nomination task has taken a dramatic turn. Bigg Boss called everyone in the assembly room and played a clip where Ashnoor Kaur and Abhishek Bajaj can be seen talking without a mic. They continued to do it despite getting several warnings. Bigg Boss criticised them for their behaviour and asked them to leave the room. Bigg Boss then left the decision of nominations to the entire house. Captain Mridul refused to nominate only Ashnoor and Abhishek. Many also agreed with the same. Later, Bigg Boss punished everyone by nominating them except Ashnoor and Abhishek.
