Television star Harshad Chopra left viewers shocked after opening up about a painful incident from his personal life. The actor revealed that his ex-girlfriend cheated on him with his best friend in 2010, a betrayal that changed him completely. During Lock Upp Season 2, hosts Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh asked Harshad Chopra why he has remained so private despite spending over two decades in the entertainment industry.
Replying to the question, Harshad said, "I know that my fans expect a lot out of me, but I thought it was only about my work. I don't have much to share. I have tried 4-5 times to be active on social media, but that enthusiasm dies within 3-4 months. I am here on the show to expose my personality completely."
Harshad Chopra Reveals His Ex-Girlfriend Cheated On Him With His Best Friend
Harshad then revealed the painful reason behind his reserved nature. He shared, "My fans complained that no one knows anything about me, but I was not always like this. When I came into the industry, I was socially active. I lost my friend and my girlfriend at the same time in 2010. My girlfriend cheated on me with my best friend, and from then on, I have grown a little wary."
The actor added that he had never spoken publicly about the incident in the last 16 years. He said, "Nobody knows about this... Emotionally, I am very needy. Losing both of them at the same time pushed me into my shell. Staying reclusive makes me feel protected."

Fans Support Harshad, Internet Starts Guessing Names
Harshad's emotional confession received an outpouring of love from fans. Many praised him for opening up and expressed sympathy over the heartbreak he endured.
